ECOFIN CHAIRS

Sajid Faisal

ECOFIN Chairperson

Sajid Faisal once thought he’d be an environmental lawyer—blame his first MUN, where he got allocated to UNEP and realized that people care about the environment about as much as they care about the expiry date on instant noodles. Since then, he has navigated the chaotic world of international law, currently awaiting his master's results from the University of Dhaka.

Beyond MUN, he's an intern at a law firm, a folklore researcher, and a published writer who occasionally moonlights as a storyteller. His leadership roles include serving as Secretary-General of TMS Intra MUN 2019, managing PR for Volunteer for Bangladesh, and handling crisis management for an international film festival.

With a penchant for sarcastic realism and an ever-expanding curiosity about international law, Sajid now sits on the ECOFIN Executive Board, ready to ensure that diplomacy isn’t just about flowery speeches but actual responsibility. Buckle up, delegates—you’re in for a ride.

Fathya Aully Zelinda

ECOFIN Vice-Chairperson

Back again to help RITMUN APU cook! As the former Secretary-General of RITMUN APU 2024, I’ve seen this conference grow, and I’m beyond excited to witness its next chapter. Now in my third year at APU as an IR student, I’m here to bring diplomacy, debate, and a little bit of spice to the council.

When I’m not navigating global policies, you’ll find me outside of class arranging ikebana, meeting up with local artists, or reading the latest Financial Times gossips.

To all delegates—speak boldly, think critically, and enjoy the ride. This is your stage, your voice, and your moment to make an impact!
