Ritsumeikan APU Model United Nations (RitMUN) 2023 marks the big comeback after one-year hiatus from the COVID-19. This conference was held at APU Campus from 7-8 January 2023. RitMUN 2023 strived to motivate individuals to take the initiative through the theme “Recalibrating SDG 2030 for the War-stricken World”, aligning the SDGs into RitMUN visions.
In the Opening Ceremony, participants listened to lectures by APS Professor Rothman as well as alumnus and Human Rights Officer for the UNHCR, Morse Caoagas Flores. After that, they were broken up into the United Nations Economic and Social Council and the United Nations Human Rights Council members. Acting as representatives of their given countries, the students debated and delegated the issues.
