Syahdianya Azaria Yahya

UNSC Vice-Chairperson

I am honored to serve as the Chair for the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) at RITMUN 2025! With years of experience in Model United Nations and interest in international law, I am eager to guide thought-provoking debates on regulating the deployment and creation of Autonomous Weapons Systems (AWS).

As the Deputy Secretary-General & Head of Academics at RITMUN (2022-2024) and a former ECOSOC Chair, I have dedicated my time to fostering dynamic and informed committees. My moot court experience as the 2024 ICRC IHL Moot Court Japan Champion has deepened my understanding of humanitarian law and ethical warfare, making this topic particularly relevant to me.

From ECOWAS at Nagoya MUN to UNESCO at Jakarta MUN, my journey has been shaped by diplomacy and advocacy. I look forward to seeing how we, together, navigate this critical issue!
